Thoughts on the MGP Signature

Hey I was just wondering what everybody feels about the new MGP Signature model. Personally I think MaddGear ripped alot of people off. Ive seen atleast 3 bars bend or snap at the bottom near the clamp and atleast 5 wheels dehub. I have one myself but I use a pair of skaterhq bars instead of the stocks and I ride an eagle and one stock maddgear wheel which is about to dehub. I know that this scooter is meant to be like nothing compared to the nitro which is coming out soon but still thats $150 down the drain. You could probably make the old maddgear last longer you only really need to cut down the bars and change the wheels. Anyways looking forward to hearing any of your opinions.

1st ur supposed to cut the bars 2nd the wheels r fine juss dont land sketch or run eagle in the back and mgp in front and 3rd decks amazing nothing wrong with it its a reaspnable price 4th headset is good if u know how to work on ur scooter so yah

Yehh the decks are good but they could of made a wheel that was a little stronger and yeah the bars usually bend reguardless if you cut them or not but I think maddgear might be doing something about that because alot of people have been sending their bars back

the bars do bend some little kid who shreds cut his down to 18in and they still bent but for $150 your getting metal core wheels one piece bar and deck and a pretty good headset.

yah so people should stop complaing if u find a better deal on metal cores bars 1 peice deck headset and etc go buy it but u prolly cant

I know its a good deal I agree its fantastic but half the parts dont last much longer than a month but your right

the bars are being changed soon when new stock arrives its the first retail batch that are weaker

the wheels most seem ok so are bad out of the box most locals near me have them & r fine

the decks sick, the forks also

the headsets i notice after pulling apart a few mgp recently sum times there not lubed/greased up on the bottom cup so when u get one undo it to check also maintaining your scooter like headset cleaning is a good general thing to do


the brakes are the best ever very solid shorter also hvnt seen a broken one yet

we got a bunch & are anodizing sum soon

Oh I should of waited a while :( do you think I would be able to send in my bars and get them replaced or did I just get unlucky lol. And everything you said is true and with the headsets is that why sometimes the bottom cup like shatters? because on my last mgp I did like a bar to whip or something then my bars stopped moving and I took my scooter apart and the bottom cup of the headset was like completely flat lol

hahhahahahhahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!! have you ridden barbie scooter wheels? in all seriousness i wouldn't mind one of these. one question (billie). y are the headtubes so short? the only reason i haven't got one is because it is alot harder to run aftermarket forks and also you're bars are always shorter. is this a sacrifice made for strength or is madd gear just tryin 2 be different?

I wouldnt say that the wheels are the worst ever? They are much better than the original MGP wheels and they are metalcores but they dehub often like ive seen a few dehub now, or maybe me and everyone else are sketchy keints :S and well read the comment above, the first stock of mgps bars are weaker and the next batch should have stronger bars and you could possibly get a new set of bars if you send your old ones back in? Im not sure about that though.
