Threaded or Threadless?

I always thought it was hard too, until I heard of HIC.

I just bought some Crows, and it came with it. 2 minutes of installing the starnut in the fork really wasn't that difficult, and after I tightened everything up, my fork and bars are still wobble-free and my whole scooter rides like a dream.

just go threadless and its not alot of money to switch to threadless just get an ICS which are pretty cheap and you can mod your stock headset to go threadless pretty easy and it works great. thats wat i did

SCS and HIC is technically possible without using a starnut. You put a long bolt(the one from ICS) like you were using ics, then put scs over your fork, the bolt would stick out from the scs cap, then you take a nut, and thread it on the bolt. Same with HIC. You got it? Someone tried this?

i tried it but it got annoying caring a socket and socket wrench around

hmm

i think threadless is more simple, but it cost more...

sry for changing subject , but where does the FrID fork breaks?breaks the steertube or the fork "legs"?

I did it with my scs when I had my SR fork, but I put in a starnut because I have a thom cat fork now.

You could just get a SCS and run threadless without a starnut... Couldn't you?

Yea but its kinda pointless buying a scs then.
If u have a good headset like a sealed canecreek u can just tighten your bolts on the scs while on the fork, just so it has a lil bit of tension the hit it down with a hammer or a mallet.
Probably won't keep 100% tight though.

Or just use a headlock system with it

Headlock is a bolt that goes all the way through the fork to a cap on the bottom so you don't have to use a star nut. But really, star nuts are not hard to install. Especially if you're running SCS/HIC, you can just go to town on the star nut cause they're dirt cheap. If you're running ICS it's a little tougher to get star nuts so you're gonna want to be more careful, but it's still not hard. If you're too scared, take it to a bike shop.

Threaded is running good for me now only cause I have a DSA fork. I think SCS is ok, but I've seen problems. I'd go with ICS, very easy. xD

i liked threaded more cause its easier to install... but if you have a plastic snap ring on your headset... say goodbye to your fork if your switching headtubes or anything..
haha
but im running a threadless lucky fork with RAD HIC and i LOVE it
