Threaded vs non threaded

Ok i know you guys are tired of this type of thread but i dont know what they are and the differences. I've looked some threads and i didnt quite understand and some were fake so i dont know what to believe. So can some1 help me out like. what it has to do with compression, bars, headseats, forks and all that great stuff

yes, we can tell you are a noob. threaded forks have threads on the forktube. a locknut is screwed down on the forktube which compresses the the headset. threadless forks do not have threads on the forktube, which requires some form of compression(SCS, HIC, ICS) to compress the headset.
 
So basically, whatever your running you need something to hold your headset in place. On a stock razor pro, the headset is threaded so it can screw onto the fork and the compression nut can screw onto that. The threadless way of doing it involves no nut, no threads or screwing of any kind and a starnut somewhere in your forks or bars (depending on the type of threadless compression you use) so that the cap of the headset (which remains unused in the threaded setup) can be screwed into it. The start nut is basically built to be lodged into your fork or bars to give you something to screw and lock your headset cap into. Hope that was explained clearly.
