Threadless headset problem?

i know this might sound a bit strange but if i have threaded forks but also have a place for the compression bolt to go, can i still use those forks or do they have to be threadless???

so i definitely can not use threaded forks even tho i ordered threadless from the shop but they came threaded??

just use a locknut then so much easier,

OR

Send them back and get threadless
