The whole CSC crew was supposed to go to the comp. But never made it.

This was one of the first, if not The first real legit scooter comp. History right here.

i remember when i first got on SR in early June, there was still hype over this video and i watched it. Right after Ryan Whetstone's Mini Video 1

It was fun driving up too. I still remember the truck stop we rode at with the random manny pad that was at least 300 feet from the front of the building to the street, but when we manualed, only like four feet long. And how bummed I was that you missed my fakie 360 off it back before a lot of people started doing those, haha.

Haha it was def. a trip I wont forget anytime soon. I remember we made one stop, at some random place. Buff was too tired to leave the car and just rested for a while. But you, Eric, and I went out and rode a little bit. And you fuucking feeble stall some bench/ledge to like Full on extended superman out. I was thinking *Yea im def. with Josh Toy* haha. Good times.

Rothem Inn, M83 & I really miss Eric Carlson.

That comp was basically the debut of the first threadless SR fork that started it all w/ an early prototype of an integrated ICS compression too... things have come a long way. Definitely a fun and memorable trip.

First time I met a skinny Russian scooter rider too.

Ahh yes..how could any of us forget that. Meeting Stan fresh out the Rush. I think I must have heard "You are on Razor?!?" over 30 times. It sucks he couldnt compete the day of the comp, cause he got injured when we all seshed the day before. But he was still boosting ridic high back then haha.

And of course Rothem Inn, and Andrew busting out the M83 on the way home..sooooo sick. And on the way there, Andrew basically almost fell asleep at the wheel, while we were driving on a death cliff...I remember Eric gave me this look, and it basically said "Steven, if we die...I love you" so fun haha.

Haha, Stan was star struck as fuck. And super hyper.

Rothem Inn, hahahahaha. Sooooooo shady. Prostitutes patrolling the 2nd and 3rd floors waiting for "clients." Unfolding the pull out bed and finding a broken crack pipe. Dirty as fuck.

Good Times! That was two days after my 18th birthday and it was 45 mins. away from my house!

And I got 1st Place!!! Yippieee!
