Tightening ICS Compression Wrong

Hey, I have brother who keeps tightening his ICS without first loosening the clamp, and I wanted to know what is the worst thing that could happen?
If you don't loosen the clamp it doesn't tighten the right way, correct?

I don't want him to ruin his compression. :/

the starnut wont pull out wtf?

it strips the aluminum threads on the inner part of the starnut so if hes been tightening it w/o loosening the clamps its messed up and the starnut is ruined

it can pull out the starnut if you keep tightening it, because the bars won't be moving down with it. I didn't really mean all the way, but enough to fuck it up

yeah, that is totally true, drilling out a starnut is incredibly hard

my dad ripped a starnut out of my bars by using the ics bolt and pulling hard, when we put it in wrong but it was wrecked anyway.

the threads in a star nut are deff not aluminum.
and yea the starnut is going to break. the part with the threads breaks off the starnut part. ics sucks anyway get him an scs lol.
