start gradually. first work on manuals with bars sideways, be careful you dont lower it and fall on your first, then gradually lower your front wheel. dont manual anymore but still lean back a fair amount to the point where your wheel actually slides. then go from there :) hope i helped.
 
Nooooooooo, you just carve into the slider then keep ALL of your weight back, you'll feel like you're manualing but you won't be. DO NOT MANUAL

obviously. He's saying to approach it that way by leaning back and taking weight off the front of the wheel. If you were to actually manual, you wouldn't be doing the trick. The wording is just a little misleading is all.

It really is just a manual with your front wheel skimming the ground. Unless it's on something really smooth where you can just turn your wheel.
