tnt clamp shim works on french i.d clamp?

well since i found out my tnt clamp stripped i need a new clamp it wont tighten so any way when i bought my tnt clamp it came with a shim that i never used since u dont need to use it with my inward bars so any way im looking to buy a friench id fork and since it wont fit on inwards with out a shim im just wondering will putting my tnt shim on the french id clamp make it work on my inwards?

lol i cant find tnt clamps on ebay any more =[ id buy that but now i cant find french id's in the u.s and i hate stock's
