to all the BRI haters....

Bri's are okay, its annoying when you learn them on your unnatural side though.

But bri's are one of the most unique tricks you can learn. Bri's open the door to many new tricks.

kids at my local only can only flyout bri's and they think they are pro.

I like the look of them but i hate when people do flyout

I personally think bris are a really bad, boring and plain trick.
I mean, it's ok if you do them high, and catch or do a heelbri, but not a bri every 10 seconds.

The only time I don't like bri's, is when they're done flyout every 5 seconds on a 5lb scooter. Or if they're learned before whips, barspins, or 360's on some weight weenie scooter.

The only time bri's really look good is either really slow, or really fast and caught.

My quote from tricktionary thread

"they were interesting when people first started learning them because it was a new trick people could add to their bag and combo real well.

Now new riders think they look real cool and learn them before any other basics so you get these little groms that can do an infinite number of briflip combos but can't barely do any other trick. I've seen videos where the kid does a briflip late whip air and a flat doublewhip in the same video. Every single rider nowadays whores them, and not only do they just get played out, but front bris are quite possibly the most disgusting trick in the sport and a disgrace to front scooterflips which actually look good.

One last note is that people now are getting to the point where the only new tricks being done are new briflip combos rather than you know.. ACTUALLY coming up with a new trick. I try my best never to do briflips becuase I know I personally am not impressed in the least by them and I'd rather make my riding look good than show the world another buttercup. If I can help rid the world of briflips by keeping how-to videos or trick tips about them to a minimum, I will definitely do just that."

That being said, I'm psyched when I see.. say.. Dan do a smith to front bri, because something like that is original, and Brendan Smith's 540 front bri's are absolutely nuts.

The other day at the park, I introduced myself to a random scooter kid I hadn't seen before and went to shake his hand, without missing a beat, and also without saying his name or shaking my hand he just said "can you bri?" it's dumb shit like that that drives me insane, and I get asked CONSTANTLY if I can bri and why I don't do them. I'd rather see brand new tricks (not combos) than the first person to do a 12th tailwhip after a briflip, and before anyone tries to say I don't like them because I can't do them let me just tell you: Me and John Mattes (As far as I know) were the first people to do front bri's, I learned regular bri's shortly after Brian Boston along with a handful of combos before they started getting supremely whored out. I CHOOSE not to do them
