Too heavy custom bars :<

Well, i made custom onepieces and they're way too heavy(about 2kg, which is 70oz.). I built it with super thick tubes(steer tube has 2,6mm(0.102") thick wall and crossbar is the same thickness) I couldn't get any cr-mo tubes or any with less thick wall which would fit the 1-1/8 fork. I was thinking of drilling holes in the steer tube to reduce the wieght. what drill's diameter to use and what distance between the holes should be? Soryy for my bad English but i think you will understand me :D

I haven't got access to other tubes which would fit fork, it was the only one that fitted, so i have to do sth to lighten them

Wee Scooters ships to poland.
Either get bars there, ride stock or ask Pete Pachota he's from Cracow, Poland...

Don't drill the bars. Just ride your bars (good exercise) until the currency gets better or until you save more money.

Don't bitch about it. Mine are around 2kg, at the start i didn't like them but now they are all i can ride with.
