too tight hic

i wanted to check to see if my hic was missing any parts so i took it apart and when i put it back together it was super tight so if i tighten the top cap with my hands my bars wont spin at all but if i dont tighten it it will fall apart please help!

make sure you have all the components of your headsets and on right.

that shouldn't happen.
loosen your hic a little, maybe you tightened it so much that the headset won't spin. tighten it until your forks still spin, and when you put your bars on the weight of the bars should help it spin perfectly.

make sure your crown race is on some people make a mistake of putting there bearings in up side down
