yeah when i went to florida i took off the wheels and but my crossbar inside my steering column (i have buffs) if that mkes sense?- it compacted it alittle since i was riding like 19 wides

What airline are you flying with and from what airport? Each airport has security measures but some are quite a bit more....err long winded then others. I'd say with my experience of flying planes out of tons of different airports that most won't have a problem as long as you take the bars off and just put them at the bottom your luggage with your clothes. I've been to one small airport though that wouldn't even let me take a skateboard on with me. It really depends. Most Class B airports (big airports like LAX, Dallas/Ft. Worth, etc) won't care. They've got bigger issues then a scooter.

Just pack it with bars off and you should be good.

i was going to unbolt my foldy, fold my scoot and put the bars to the side(razor pro bars) but im hella glad i read this because my washers are bent and cracked (bent on the welds)and would be messed up and wouldn't be able to use the washers.
