Yes hardend aluiminum is the way to go, and the deck frames come with standard 1 1/8 head tube NOT the one on alexes deck (Savage) He bought that head tube with the money he won at Cooter Con7 this is a custom deck one of a kind......... so far

You put it on without the deckplate, then you put the deckplate on after you put the wheel on.

damn this worked out well had my birthday on the 21 and got a shit load of money then inward stocked them on the 22. Just ordered the the Deck with 5 inch plate. The only down side is like a week ago I bout 3 feet of home depot griptape. IM pretty sure its not wide enough to make it now lol.

It simply takes a couple times to get it but once you get the technique down its not so bad. Just get the drop out tubes spread apart and slide the spacers on and bam. Should work just like so.
