Yes hardend aluiminum is the way to go, and the deck frames come with standard 1 1/8 head tube NOT the one on alexes deck (Savage) He bought that head tube with the money he won at Cooter Con7 this is a custom deck one of a kind......... so far

i like my tsi deck alot it is really light and easy to put together the only hard part is putting the back wheel in

did you try putting it on before you put the top plate on? because i put the top plate on first and couldnt get both washers in so i took it back off and it went right on...
