TSI Question

I recently got my TSI and put it all togethere yesterday. I rode it around for a bit and noticed I couldnt get all my tricks as often as I used to with my pro model and ultra pro. I got used to the headtube angle pretty quickly but the weight of the scooter had dramaticly changed. On the "Your Scooter" thread i had seen that Billie Rainbow made Holes in his MGP to make it lighter. Would this be possible on a TSI with the holes smaller and only on the sides of the deck?

It's not the weight difference, that dif. between a pro and TSI should be tiny, unless you are tiny, that is. The issue your thinking of is the weight distribution. Just man it out, youll have your tricks back in no time. What are you having trouble with? I just switched...

Yeah i though that was the issue. My bars are light as hell and compared to the deck they weighs nothing. Im 6 foot lol and i can probably get used to the weight ratio between the deck and bars. Im just wondering if drilling holes in the sides of the deck will affect the performance.

you could drill it easily. I drilled the top of the rails of a tsi deck frame and it turned out good. and you can also drill out a lot of the deckplate to make it lighter

nah man, as long as you know what you are doing, its fine

I'd advise to ONLY drill the deckplate. Even drilling the tops of the rails will create weak spots.

If I just drill 8 evenly distributed holes in the deck will it still creat weak spots and how much weaker would the deck be?

8 holes will probaly cut down about the same wieght as a nickel dude its not gonna help just man up hit the gym and get used to it

Give it time. Just because you can't get your tricks right off the bat, does not mean you can't get them back later.

DO NOT DRILL ANY HOLES IN YOUR FRAME! IF YOU DO THEN YOU VOID YOUR WARRANTY

Drilling in the deck plate is fine. Just not the frame. Don't be a fool.

Yeah, why the fuck would you drill holes in your TSI... everyone else re-learnt their tricks on them just fine, drilling wont help your land shit any quicker. The only issue you have is head tube angle.

ok i have a choice of buying my friends tsi flowmaster the original old deck for 40 dollars an i ride street and flat only pretty much, but i dont mind the headtube anlge too much but im going from a pro model angle thats big bolt back little bolt front so its like 81.5, to the83 angle, and i was wondering is the TSI flowmaster more for park than it is street? cuz im considering buying it but i dont want it to fuck up my riding fr street....

what should i do

83 is for parks thats all we ride is skate parks veeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrtttttttttt baby
81.5 is for flat

lol yeah honestly dont do it, im sponsered and shit so its ok if i break it i get a new one and i do know what im doing. and yeah what kieran said was right, its weight distribution not overall weight, main reason why mgp whips good, all the weight at the front from the neck being big/heavy and all i done was made it even easier to whip on.

uhm so i shouldnt buy the deck from my friend i mean its 40$ for a tsi but its the old one too so, if i got it an broke it, cuz its the old one does that mean i still get it replaced? and is flowmaster 83 angle so does that suck dick for street or what i need opinions
