most scooters are designed with a taper in the back. I think they are tapered because it looks cool, but it actualy removes foot room. this deck is for riding in a ski stance. looks aint everything ( Available soon on the SR store)

I actually like a taper cause my foot always hits that back area, or at least it did on my 5.0 deck plate before I trimmed it. This is dialed for ski riders, I rode one today and it was chillin.
