I've owned both and the threshold by far blows away the reventon. The concave on my reventon felt like ----- it felt like it was flat in the center and just was liked spiked on the sides. The 83 hta is the shit and the reventon has 82.5 which is meh. Length, the length was better on the thresh and the reventon was average. Also it's stronger. That about sums it up

I've never ridden a thresh but I was gonna get one if I hadn't got my reventon, it worked out a fair bit cheaper to get my reventon instead of a thresh in Australia plus it came with an integrated headset which I needed and is a bonus over the thresh.
The colors on the thresh suck as well except for silver/raw and the smirnoff sig is longer than any thresh so that would be another advantage for someone looking for a big deck.
I hate the thresholds headtube as well its way to small so not a big range of forks suit it, but i prefer the shape of the actual deck better than the reventon.

of all you guys, who has owned or ridden both? this is a dope thread btw
I've been riding both of these.

I'd say if you're looking for 4.5" wide with flat sides, then choose the Thresh, it's light and it's fresh. But if you're looking for a 5+ wide deck (which gives more control over high-speed fakies somehow) and don't mind the edges, then go for the Smirnoff sig model.

I have also ridden both. Thresh feels alot better. I have ridden all of the different sizes of the reventon. Only one that i feel like feels nice is the 4.25. Go for the thresh.

how do people know the thresh is stronger if it has not been out long and this has nothing to do with it but the v1's snapped fast. prepare for a massive argument over v1 vs v2 jk (i know v2 is alot better)

Well, I cracked my v1 in about 3 weeks, and I've had my v2 for a month and a half, and no crack, or anything.

i've ridden a reventon for 4 months and a threshold for about 1.
the reventon is good but the concave is just a little much, the threshold has half the concave of the reventon. the threshol is cheaper, lighter, looks better. grinds are alot nicer, stalls are easier its just an all around better deck and worth the money for it.

Rode both a little each and my heart lays with the Threshold. It's just so well balanced and responsive. I love it

i meant the v2 vs a reventon not a v1 vs v2. as people were saying the tresh is stronger than the reventon but they have only been out a little while, did you break/warranty your v1 or buy a v2?
