my startegy is ask on anon tumblr famous blogs to have there followers who follow back like this post, like it and follow everyone else that likes the post, gets my a decent amount each time

For the longest time I only posted pictures that I took, but as I no longer am involved in photography as my main subject has been removed from my life, I find interesting art on other sites and put it onto tumblr with all proper sourcing (typically a first upload of that image to the site). People reblog me, I try not to reblog as it is just annoying and pointless.

I try to only do that. Dylankasson.tumblr.com does that. Most of the blogs I follow are actually user created content its really cool.
