I just made a up/down rail and I can do the down part fine but the up is hard to do and i can only do it if i go super fast and its sketchy any tips?

Kinda hard to describe, but like try to shift your self so you go with the curve up, not just slam onto it, but actaully slide up.

I got quite good at these, it's all about that speed and leaning back. you really gotta try and keep your balance in the middle though because if you slip out then your gonna be sore. This is really quite easy for the more experienced riders, and its an impressive trick. but if you fall on these, the bails are usually quite bad.

Up rails= Lean back
Down rails= Lean forward

All I can say.

Not at all.

Goin up you want to start with being balanced in the middle, than transfer your weight to the back, but still keep your body over the bars a little bit.

for me, its easier to come at the rail straight on. and try to focus a little more on your feet instead of your hands. kinda like as of you were going to boardslide on a skateboard. idk, thats just what helps me.

I do them with pretty high speed. For me, its easier to roll straight to the rail or even do a little FS lip. It takes a bit time to figure out.

i recon uprails are almost easier than downrails (other than like acctuall street handrails, etc), i find them less scary and bailing out its generally easier and less sketchy

my advice is to just play with the balance (leaning forward/backward) untill you get it, other than that you need way more speed than going down, i would suggest waxing the rail heaps. Also if you can hop high it makes them easier.
