urban exploration

anyone else into exploring abandon shit? eg hospitals, factories, powerplants? i'm always looking for new stuff around philly and i've come across some pretty awesome stuff so far. if you want anyone is interested pm and i'll possibly give you some other sites that have lists of places to explore, most are pretty secretive though since the people that find them don't want kids drinking/vandalising them. or if you're from philly let me know and i can hook you up with some places myself.

My brother used to do this, but you live in the city so I imagine its easier to find places like that. Also, whats up with the floor on the second to last pic?

Dude those places look gnar man. Back when i lived in my old City, me and my old friends would hear all these stories from parents and shit about the old Haunted school, and the old Haunted Hospital up on this place called Hicks Road. So one day we went up to try and find them, and we had to take some ridiculous dirt road, with like a 234234 foot cliff on one side, and we were up in these crazy mountains. Well we finally found the school, and it was totally nuts, the story was the teacher went crazy and hung all the kids from this tree. And waaay up high in this tree, were these cut off pieces of rope..so yea that was pretty fun, we never found the hopistal tho..

we don't have too much where i'm from. But i've went into some abandoned warehouses and just old boarded up houses.

i like doing it, but i never take a camera.

not much around where i live (on land anyway) so i dont get to go as much as id like to. if you dont already, u should scuba dive. tones of stuff underwater to explore, most of it well preserved and undiscovered. also, no vandalism, security people or stoners (its really hard to smoke, drink, spray paint or guard something underwater). and yes there are places to dive in Pennsylvania.

example:http://www.dutchsprings.com/scuba.htm < awesome place, but the water is insanely cold there and i guess it doesn't really count as "exploring" unless u dive really deep on the old mining equipment

man i would love to do something like this. theres not too much here that i know of, actually i don't know anything that would be cool to explore. i know there was a button factory here though, and i think they left a bunch of buttons in a field.

by my grandparent's house there is a big suburban area going up and my dad and i would go look around the housed being built, that was pretty fun.
