Are the vertx smx's the same as the lucky smx? they look the same to me except they come in 0 offset too.

They're pretty much exactly the same. I have a VertX one and my friend had a Lucky one. Pretty much no difference at all.

It is pretty good. Lucky NW forks are better for footjams but once you learn them it doesn't really matter.

If I get these will I have to trim them down for proto baby scs or not? If so by how much?

just got them like 2 days ago. and they sit exactly 1 1/2 inches above the top of the headset.

Does that change depending on the deck? Also I heard something about the threaded insert?

well, i have an FSA orbit headset. and if you have a DH Pro them its going to stick out a little bit more due to the ridiculous stack height of the DH Pro.

Just found out the threaded insert is removable, and I have a rup deck and getting district pro headset so should be fine.
