ok guys , been riding a while now, however only just got over to using aftermarket products. i have stock blunt complete , but the compression was terrible as was the forks wich came out of linE after every single run. i decided to go with the proto scs and the smx as ive heard good things about both . i was told that they were compatible , though when i put it together i have alot of wobble and the spacer on the blunt hedset that seperates the fork and the headset wall is too thick for smx . any ideas on where to get the right sized spacer ? . off subject i also have the stripper bars with a distct shim in the scs and they always move no matter how much i tighten them :( help me out guys!!!

Well if your spacer is too big, then cut your spacer so its smaller. Boom.

And use the shim that came with the scs, the district shim is prolly messing it up

yes slit in bars. and my scs never came with a shim , but i can no longer ask for 1 as it was ages ago that i actually bought it . also its a width issue with the copression ring not a height issue , strange as i have seen pepes with the same setup yet dont seem to have had this problem :/

The compression that comes on those scooters is called IHC. The compression ring in the headset is too think to go over the smx fork. You probably won't be able to buy a new compression ring that is the correct size, the easiest thing to do is just buy a new aftermarket headset, and everything should run smoothly.

I'm a little confused as to what your problem is....
But it seems like you just need to be setting up your scooter correctly.

i emailed the company i bought the parts from an they said its only the oversized that cannot have a slit init .and yes it was the headset that was the problem , but i dont get why the bars spin i thought was because i did not have the proto shim as the district is smaller in height

cannot post pics only cam is on ipad and aint that great . all im saying is the bars move out of line so easily where they fit in at the top of the scs and the shim im using isnt long enough to take up all the space a proto shim would as it came with a district clamp .

ok dude...

your spacer is too wide? get a different one. they are dirt cheap

stop using that district shim, especially if it isnt long enough for your scs. get a shim that fits it properly

and finally, your bars have slits in them... bars with slits do not work properly in scs. you must either cut the slits off or put a forktube in your bars

Use the iPad. iPads have plenty good quality so I can see what's going on.
Alot of what you're saying doesn't make sense.
