very screwed yaks

I was riding home from southport today (about half hour riding from where i live) and just when i started to leave my front wheel started to wobble and i thought wtf is wrong, so i tightened it and it kept stopping and then i decided to take the wheel off to see what was wrong, and my friggin bearings had POPPED and the ball bearings just flew all over the place. but the steel right on the outside of my bearing was still stuck in and that was it. took me about 15 mins to get it all out and cuz i didnt have any spare bearings, i had to ride home with my front wheel just loose on the axle. when i got home, i got my spare bearings and but them in except the plastic on the inner part of the wheel had heated up and melted a bit but yeah.

now, the moral of the day is that yak bearings shouldnt be purchased: they may seem really good (they roll for ages) except they break pretty easily. and whilst im already creating a thread, i should just say i landed a briflip the other day finally.

and also, with my yak wheel: should i buy a new one or just keep using this same one? it still goes pretty well so i dont thing i need to.

thanks.

well if the wheel is still fine i don't see why you'd need a new one. Thats lame man i hate it when my bearings break! only had it happen twice though
