they are made outta mild steel so they are pretty heavy but after a day or two of riding u get pretty used to them. also they are a thicker material so that adds some strength. the only downside so far is that the grips are a bastard to get on specially if u have really firm grips. so far we havent had any problems at all with them and coombsey has been doin some pretty big stuff we had them single clamped for a while and they dont have anythread and they still didnt move at all and now they are double clamped and they are serioously not goin anywhere
