video is not registering on my com

i have a kodak Z885 camera with the video mode and my photos upload fine, but when i try to upload a video file onto movie maker it has like a big X over it like the camera is not plugged in or something same with when i open the file that has all my pictures and video files which would be in my computer then i click on the camera icon. when i do that my pictures are displayed fine but all my videos are just like blue and i cant open them or anything soo how do i get rid of this and actually get my video files onto my computer and use them. i might need to explain it more if u dont understand....

Yea movie maker wont accept the file type straight from the camera. Just go into my computer and take them off the card and then convert them if you really need to put them into movie maker.
thats probably the easiest way I would say.
correct me if I'm wrong though.

soo i look for the sd card icon, when i find that take them and put them into another file then thoses files to the prism converter then i can put them in movie maker correct

first off..what type of file are they on the card?
just copy them from the card to another folder and then from there open them up in the converter to convert to .wmv
then you can open them in movie maker

the X means the file path is invalid. upload the movies to your hard drive, then DON"T MOVE THEM!
then import the clips into WMM, off your hard drive, not your camera. then it will work
