Yeah, I do agree that it was off topic, but if the mods strictly enforce that rule, they're going to have to ban a whole lot more people, as there's tons of posts that are off topic in almost every thread on SR. There might be more that I never see because the mods deal with it quickly, but there still are a ton. I'm sorry for bringing the thread further off topic, people can take it to PMs if they want.

MGP is one of the best companies there is. I have the 2012 nitro and it is a dream to ride. I love the look and feel. Vertx seems like a cool company but I hate the look and two piece decks. It would be amazing to ride for MGP so idk why there is SOOOO much hate on them.

i'm with this guy, they may be a corporation in it for the money but they know how to satisfy riders, by having a good team and good products, they keep updating designs for us, to make us happy, it may not be what all of us want but its the majority. they make good and cheap stuff. if it wasnt for the noobs riding them and snaking people they would have alot more respect. its not madds fault for making such well priced good riding completes that appeal to noobs, and they might put childish graphics on they're scooters but so does district and i never see anyone hating on them, down in canberra you either ride a madd,district or phoenix. and the most common and well ridden by far is maddd. i nkow afew sponsored people down here who swear by maddgear. and its fair enough. they are cheap, they ride good, and they are relatively strong.

1st bold: satisfy KIDS, the team and pockets.

2nd: cheap, not really versus manufacturing cost, good? if you dont take scooters seriously or have little experience on others sure and that's who they sell it to.

3rd: but thats exactly what they are doing, selling the sport out by mass production so it is their fault? its what they are trying to achieve, no long term plans just profit now and let the kids follow the candy.

This is what their tween marketing paid for, unalloyed loyalty toward their brand regardless of a far more sustainable market model or even proper quality standards. they will invest back in the sport but only to gather a bigger share of what is left out of our quite unbalanced market before the trend, if it ever dies down steeply again. I think scooters will be around for some time but corporations like this will stress the sport to its breaking point.

alright. so, the madd gear company as a whole is just getting too fucking ridiculous. they aren't a legit company to me. a legit company doesn't sell their products at wal-mart, you don't see professional brand skateboards or bikes at wal-mart, but i've seen so many madd gears at wal-mart. the deck has so many flaws to me too, the bottom of the deck has so little grinding space it is horrid and the holes cut out in the deck are just weak spots, the new madd gears banana too. it bums me out that they are making bikes now too, and wal-mart brand kind of bikes. i will never like madd gear. everything they make is immature.

I do like the fact that they support their team and send them around places though.
apart from that I fucking hate them.
