ive been getting alot of video and audio cutouts (glitchy footage) recently, along with the blinking (x) in the middle of my screen when i record. its pretty obvious that i need the heads to get proffesionally cleaned. ive tried cleaning tapes, but no luck. soooooo does anybody know a guy that knows a guy that can maybe help me out here. because i dont really wanna try and clean the heads myself. and buying a completley new vx1 is kinda out of the question. also im from canada so preferably international shipping :)

use video electronics in north reading, MA. i have sent 15+ vx's to them and they always come back fucking legit.

repair costs could be anywhere from 175 to 350+ depending on how kushed out your VX is. you mail it in to kerry and he will give you a full list of everything wrong with it plus costs and if your down you paypal him or credit card and if your not down you pay for shipping back. email him and let him know what the issues with your camera is

I found an old camera and didn't buy it (10$ at yard sale). This was like last year. I now know that it was a DVX and I regret not buying it

you guys just dont get it do you.... yea the vx1000 has hella problems, but that still doesnt change the fact that (if you set it up properly) it has the best looking sd footage. The best fisheye ever made for action sports and the best weight/handling ratio. @humpurple kushiones @GRAYDONSHEDSSTREET @Devin DePriest
I hope you know I'm just messing with you when I say that you need a gl1. I completely agree with you that it has the best looking footage. I just don't want to dish out a couple hundred bucks every little bit to get it fixed. I've just found the gl1 to be more on the reliable side (As long as you take care of it). The thing you don't get is that just because it's not a vx doesn't mean the thing is garbage. You call yourself a filmer yet you haven't figured out that it's not not the camera that makes good footage, it's the filmer. Having a vx DOES NOT make you a better/more respected filmer.

Chris is a good filmer... If anyone its him who knows that equipment does not make you a good filmer. hes just making a statement that the vx1000 produces the best sd footage out of all the sd cameras available, which is true...

ive most definetley never called myself an alleged 'filmer'!!! i know your joking about the gl1, and you have no right to make these accusations at me!! ive never ever seen any video footage of you, or of what youve filmed haha. LINK SOME TO ME (if you even have anything to do with scootering)

and that last quote is obvious, everybody knows its the filmer not the camera haha.

also heres so gl1 porn for you or whatever http://forums.skateperception.com/index.php?/topic/265404-canon-gl1-stereotypes/
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed... I didn't want to argue either. You put in your opinion and then I put in mine. You then attacked me...

Thanks @BeeFrew for being chill, you know what's up.
