Id say just start saving haha. If you just want to be able to fix/make your own then get a cheap MIG. If you want to make and sell them its probably a better idea to invest in a more expensive TIG machine.

Also there is more tools you will need than just a welder to make bars.

ha! you cant learn to weld in a day. it takes alot of "edumacation" to make welds that work. let alone good ones. you were probably stick welding. and it probably came out bad. just get them welded.

A few welding classes is not gonna make you a great welder. And if you should take any class, it should definately be an english class.

Classes are kinda lame. You learn the most by just practicing. Once somone tells you how to setup your machine and you know what tungstens and rod and gas to use etc. It all depends on experience and practice.

Dont try and do stick, at least get a wire feed. Lincoln and miller are pretty much the best. I like Miller more especially if you get a TIG go with miller.

Tig is stronger, and mig is cheaper.
And fuck Arc welding ahaha.

Well either could be easier. It depends on the application and preferance. For me, I deffinetly have a better time with a TIG. If I'm under a truck or somthing MIG is easier. But for parts nothing beats TIG.

ive been practicing with an old 1 but i might get a lincoln mig welder
