the threaded are the same as pro or old A.

I DID IT!! I KNOW!
Yeah, but why wouldnt you just weld a threadless tube on?

The threadless SR forks are way thicker then the threaded ones. He made the threaded ones because people didnt want to go through the whole compression system.

Find a welding shop and tell them you want a new 1 1/8'' tube TIG welded on. Tell them to keep the bead flush so no grinding is required and so the crown race fits over the weld.

Try to use 1 1/8'' 4130 chomoly. If the shop does not have that you might have to order it online then bring everything to them.

Why do you have to make this so complicated.
He's using a bike tube, which is the exact same thing.
He's not welding the tube at the very bottom, so the bead will be fine too.
He already knows what he's doing, lock this

Im not making it complicated, im helping him do it RIGHT.
A bike fork tube is THE SAME EXACT FUCKING THING as a 1 1/8" chromoly tube.
You ARE making it complicated.

He said he had an old Fit Blade fork he was gonna use. You might not know anything about bikes, but I know that those forks are strong, and that the fork tube is 100%, positively, without a doubt, a chromoly tube with 1 1/8" OD.
Have a nice god damn evening.

ok listen to me.
u can weld a blade or pro fork on there bu it would be piontless cuz there thin as shit and weak as shit.
what u need to do is do what aj told u get this pipe
http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=7341&step=4&showunits=inches&id=250&top_cat=0 and if u get two feet it will be a total of 26 dollars i just bought it three weaks ago. then u cut ur fork tube wherever u want. (i asked andrew and scooterperu and they said do it like an inch below where it cracked) so i wouldnt do it at the top cuz that is where it is likely to break. then u cut ur fork tube that is connected to the fork and get it as straight as u can. then u take it to a pro and tell them u need it welded and give them a bearing cup(the cup that the bearings run on) and then tell them to make a tig weld as smooth as possible, grinding iit little as possible. so yea then ur done.

there is another way to do it but im not writing it cuz u wont listen to me that way and its even more complicated. but the way i just told u will do just fine.

A Fit Blade fork is a BIKE fork, it's not thin!
