What do you like in an edit?

Hey guys I'm starting filming for an edit. I would like to know what you guys like to see in an edit? My skill level isn't that great and most of it will be filmed on an Iphone 5 (come at me) and a Canon eos 600d and most or atleast 50% of the clips will be self filmed as I don't have a filmer but I'm planning on just getting some mates to film lines and that for me. I might get a new camera sometime during the filming but I doubt it. It's my first edit so I don't want it to long but I'm planning to film it for around 2-3 months but I'm gonna stop when I'm apleased with the video. I've seen the Matt Somers video on how to make a good video but I want to know what you guys like in an ametuer video?
Oh and it'll probably be edited with Windows Movie maker aha
Thanks guiez

I like to see something different.Dont be having most of the clips in a halfpipe doing bri airs. Also, use different songs to the usual edits. And last but most importantly, if you ride park, find some street spots and film there

Not edited with windows movie maker, a good song, good tricks, different spots/ramps no tricks repeated on the same ramp. good banger, good start. Sorry for lack of basic english i can't be arsed to move my hands.

Skill may be a big part of a good edit, but if you're spending time on the video, getting good angles on the filming and trying to go bigger than you usually would, the edit will be good to watch

Yeah I'm planning on going bigger then I normally would for this edit, I'll also try to find a song that matches my style

Be varied with your angles, fisheye, long lens, and maybe some glidecam, just a clip or two. NO FLYOUT. Also, try and do more lines than just single tricks, it makes for a better edit.
