What do your parents think of scootering

Really guys maybe I'm just going to sound snyde... But scootering is pretty cheap.... I mean you need a 50 dollar scooter to start and thats pretty much it.

I mean thats only 5-7 hours worth of work assuming your have a crappy summer job.

Meaning onch day of easy average work that any shchmo could do and you have a scooter....

Try skiing and tell me how expense scooter parts are.... Even for the more advanced scooters with all the custom parts.

my mom hates me.. so she hates everything i do.. if im not studying to be a doctor she has NO support what so ever.. (and IM never becoming a doc) so i guess shell always look at me like a failure.

haha my mum used to say that to me and i shoved it in her face the day i got sponnoed by maddgear. but she has been super supportive of what i do always, even payed for my parts(wheels, bars and such, but ive only payed for 1 deck/full scooter ever and ive snapped 20something)

My parents were always like whatever, of course they don't like buying parts, but that doesn't happen since I'm sponsored. And with that, they take it more seriously because there's actually a chance I can go somewhere with it. At least a little more than before and at least as far as one can go with a scooter.

my parents say its a waste of time, effort and money, and they say i break my neck oneday scootering, but yet there the ones who buy me the parts, with out me needing them lol

Haha, word.

I just recently bent my Ultra Pro also, just riding a bank doing barspin to fakie combos. I've only heard a few people doing this so far. Razor told me to bring in the deck when I can so they can inspect it. My guess is some of the decks may not have been heat treated properly. Which could also explain why a couple others have cracked/snapped the welds on the headtube. So if they can see how it bent, they will work with quality control on their manufacturing to ensure it won't happen as easily.



As for my parents, when I was younger they thought it was great. My parents even helped organize and run the first contest series for scooters, USA Scooter Racing. They have always been supportive of me when it came to hobbies or sports. Never had any issues with my parents and scooters.

A few years back from time to time i usually got a few hints from my parents that i should quit. Novadays they are pretty acceptive that I have a hobby where i can actually earn by filling up an empty niche with a scooter business in my region.

My parents think its pretty legit. they'll take me places within like 30 minutes if they dont have plans then they';; hvae dinner together or something there.
They were super excited when i got sponsored and when we went to the east coast they let me take my scooter. its pretty legit.
my mom texts darger and raymond... well they text her.. its kinda weird
hahaha

ohhh and they let anyone stay at our house.. so if your coming to cali<3

My parents thought i was crazy when i first started.
But once i started showing them pics and videos of me riding they were pretty cool with it.

When i started scooting all the time and not doing good in school because of it they got a lil mad though and said i had to rethink my priorities. haha

They help me buy parts when i really need them. since its my main way to get to college and around the city.
so they cool with it.

i don't live with my parents anymore but if i was younger and i was living with them, my mom would be chill with it and my dad would just say "i am not taking you to the hospital when you brake your head open" hahaha.
