What does it take to produce wheels?

You don't need a CNC Machine. A CNC Machine isn't even a real thing. CNC refers to a computerized piece of existing equipment, in this case a lathe. You can use a manual lathe to turn full cores. Granted, manual means you have to, like, do it, but it's not hard once you learn how to use a lathe.

Spoked designs and maybe some fullcores will require a mill. You can probably get away with a drill press if you just want to cut some holes in them.

The polyurethane mix and pour is the hardest part. First, you can't do a "small batch" of that stuff for 1-2 wheels. Second, you'll need a lot of molds and a place to mix and cure the stuff. It's not easy.

The amount of money it costs versus just buying a shit ton of cheap metalcores isn't really worth it.

I am aware of what a CNC machine is and msot of what it takes to make wheels. Obviously i am not going to cut 5000+ cores at a time by hand, thats way to costly. We produce everything in mass quantities to cut down on the fixed costs. We have the capabilities to produce the cores, i was more concerned with the pu mix and what what into that. We already have produced several prototype cores and started fiddling around with the pu.

The job is easy when you have the right tools and people which we do. I dont use cheap materials and have no desire to farm out things that we can do in house. I dont want our brand to be cheap and i have much more control over quality if we do it ourselves. Theres a reason why the top companies are so successful.
