All ive wondered what is offset forks as i was looking at the *Vertx SMX V2 Offset Fork* so back to the question what is offset.

It's personal preference. Though I am guessing your fork right now has offset. SO I would get an offset fork if I were you.

offset is the distance between where the fork would be if it went straight down and where the axle is.
so this fork, the zg venom, has an offset of 10mm, which makes for more stable riding.

and this fork, the inward zero, the axle is base in the exact middle of the fork, which makes for more balanced barspins, nosies, and other stuff.

You can baaarely notice the difference at all.. not really worth pointing that out.
