because it's not a "Hard 180" unless its out of a grind. like a feeble for instance.
Feeble Hard 180 out is sipinning normal but your back wheel will cause resistance causing the name "Hard" 180. Thats why it is easier to spin opposite out of a feeble or smith.

I would guess that hard 180s out of smiths would be easier, but I've never tried. I'm still trying to get bris, I'm so close.

-double whip
-180 to fakie half barspin to fakie to halfcab then a half barspin again. i have only been working on these tricks for like a day -.-
