chromoly is stronger but heavier
aluminium is very light but weak.

Use ALu but make sure to use alu that is standard on the inside, but over sized on the outside like most alu bars. It makes them stronger.

Integrated clamps I wouldn't trust. If they strip, they can't be changed. If the welds snap off, you're fucked.
