What scooter to buy?....

ok, so I'm new here, just started scootering about 2 weeks ago after seeing some of joshes vids on the fingerboard forum.I am currently riding an OLD razor model (A2 I think) nothing fancy. I jumped back to back seven sets last week and it has been acting funky ever since (handlebards and fork come out of alignment, chipped wheels etc.) and i was thinking of gettign a new scooter. I was lookign at the A3 since i have never had a wheely bar and the new front shock looked nice for big gaps. What are your thoughts? oh, and do you guys weld your brakes?

thanks

Welcome to SR and the sport itself. I belive everyone here would recomed a old A model or a B model. New a's, a2, a3 are not very good and will not last very long (unless you put a B folding mech on it) The A4 (Pro Model) Is a very good scooter from what ive heard, so if you have the money, get that. Ive never heard of anyone welding thier brake. Although shocks make a smooth ride they also break easy. Most of the rider ride hard forks. About your forks coming out of alignment, tighen the bar clamp or put on a second one. Check out the Scooter Mod Bible at the top of the Scooters board and the diagram of scooter parts also.

with pro models its harder to whip but i wear size 11- 13 (depends what shoe) if i use like an old a or any thing i land on the break

id recommend the old A1's...for me, their decks last the longest and are easier to overkrook and shit....good pop also...and the forks arent too bad.. i love em.....= my recommendation...

haha your pro model sucked because the whels broke.lol that makes me laugh because all wheels break, and they're stock wheels.
and kill.me.heal.me. just get a pro model it will last you a really long time if you just started.and when you get t be sure to read the scooter mod bible.

more reinforced deck. easily boltable unlike the new A's which involves drilling. slightly heavier which makes tricks more solid
