haha no, you set shutter, aperture, white balance, gain, and all that other stuff before you record. and you can see the difference as you change them, no need to record.

ok, i was like wow, if you mess up a tiny bit, you wo't know till your in post production, which would suck...

Yeah with like film, but all you can really do with that is put something out of focus or set your aperture too high or low i think.

Im gonna break it down for you...

If you know what aperture, shutter speed, focus, exposure and shit means, get a VX2100 or GL2.

If 24p, 30p, 60i,cinelike, mean anything to you, get a DVX100B (or A)

If you don't understand a word i just said, get a camera in the Panasonic GS series.
