What to know when buying a Scooter?

Looking to upgrade my 6 year old's cheapie Razor scooter to a decent trick one. Our local skatepark sells MGP, GRIT, DISTRICT, SACRIFICE, ENVY, CRISP, O.D.I, and DOMINATOR.

Looking to stay under $200 initially and get something decent that is upgradable to awesome later down the road.

What should I look for when buying? This is all new to me. Thanks.

If they have the MGP VX4 Team then that would probably be the best choice.

The scooter stock comes with pretty high end features already for a really good price, it has really reliable and strong parts which are easy to maintain, and you can always switch out these parts if they get worn out or break (doubt they will break but yeah).

Ok after abit of research, I'm aiming towards the Dominator Commander for $200 CAD. That seems to be the best deal on what you get for your buck. ie. metal core wheels, etc.

And I'm seeing quite a few complaints about MGP bearings crapping out within a month on even the VX4's. As for Districts, not seeing any completes for them, and not really ready to build one just yet.

my MGP bearings have never failed on me so i dont think your 6 year old son will manage to break them, haha.

The VX4 is better sized and suited for your son as well.

i have no idea what the prices are where you're looking, so if you're going for the best price offer then i'll just leave you to that.

District have an out of the box complete called a District v4 complete, Google it and you'll find them. Dominator would probably be your best bet though.
