all my friends say its a waste time going around town from place to place.
acting like a 5 foot drop is hard as hell to barspin

they say riding tranny is a lot more harder and takes more time to get better at

also they said hand rails and ledges are like counting 123 easy

what do you guys think about it?

Your friends are very smart, you should listen to them!

Legitimate street riding is a lot different than the kids who want to ride street and just tailwhip or barspin every little gap or drop they see and throw it into a video. Tell your friends it doesn't matter what they ride if they are enjoying it and not to criticize others for doing what they love.

Eh, I always have trouble landing off the rail.

The real argument is: Would you rather have an insane trick dictionary on a small variety of obstacles or an odd trick dictionary on a large variety of spots. People have fun with both, some just enjoy quarters more than stairs.

street usually just takes balls and commitment while park takes more skill and time, not everyone can learn to air a quarter 4ft high in one day, but if your stupid anyone can whip an enourmouse gap with speed, i like street and park the same though

They're probably just park riders who say this to make them look/feel better. Both street and park have their difficulties, neither will be harder or easier than the other.

Riding street is an entirely different concept as to riding a skatepark.
They are both awesome but just different and I think the scooter community doesnt quite understand that they are both good and different. They think there needs to be one or the other which is not and will never be true.

Riding street is 100% creativity. you have to ride things that arent mean to be ridden. Some spots are perfect for some tricks and that makes a great looking clip. I would rather spend hours getting a trick a few times a week and take a year or two on a video part that I am working hard for then go to the skatepark and film multiple tricks in a day.

They are just entirely different. When you ride street you dont have your parents there sitting in the parking lot or anybody watching you ride, you dont have the security of knowing that you can try a trick as long as you want, you dont have perfect ground at every spot, you dont have stupid pads on making you look like an idiot and its complete freedom. You get to experience cities in a way that can't be experienced to a normal person. Riding street is a way to experience and view the world through a different set of eyes and its completely irreplaceable. You should try it sometime.

yeah tylers got the right outlook on it. true park and street riders put out amazing footy. there is no stigma against anyone. but street just has the unique idea that it requires a whole new mindset as to go about it. its way more fun to me to find spots than to ride the park. Im going to try to get 2 minutes of footy when I'm out on my second trip to manhattan to ride. the only downside to street is to those who don't have a car or can take advantage of public transportation. riding everywhere is awful

there's nothing bad about street if you find cool spots, but i understand that your friends might get bored if you go round all day finding nothing. spending the day in a skatepark will most likely give you more riding time, but the creativity in park is nothing compared to street riding.

There is simply no better way to say it.

what i agreed with this until the end. i think park is harder then street trick wise. my opionion. but street deffinatly harder in filming aspcet. i think its way scarier too do a whip from transition to transiotion than it is to whip a 12. thats becasue my biggest fear it to loop out and die.
