park doesnt change.. the layout stays the same alll the time. theres a shit load of street to go around. all the obstacles are different heights, some more sketchy some easy, and that inconsistency is what makes street awesome

Tyler is brilliant. Street doesnt just take skill, it takes brains. You actually have to think what you can do on each spot you find (atleast if you want to make it interesting, tailwhipping every stairset you find isnt all that interesting). Being creative really makes you think.

In my opinion both are equally as fun and i don't prefer one over the other. I just love to ride anything and everything. Now that dirt scoots are about to become more available i wonder how many kids are going to hate on that

Riding street is an entirely different concept as to riding a skatepark.
They are both awesome but just different and I think the scooter community doesnt quite understand that they are both good and different. They think there needs to be one or the other which is not and will never be true.

Riding street is 100% creativity. you have to ride things that arent mean to be ridden. Some spots are perfect for some tricks and that makes a great looking clip. I would rather spend hours getting a trick a few times a week and take a year or two on a video part that I am working hard for then go to the skatepark and film multiple tricks in a day.

They are just entirely different. When you ride street you dont have your parents there sitting in the parking lot or anybody watching you ride, you dont have the security of knowing that you can try a trick as long as you want, you dont have perfect ground at every spot, you dont have stupid pads on making you look like an idiot and its complete freedom. You get to experience cities in a way that can't be experienced to a normal person. Riding street is a way to experience and view the world through a different set of eyes and its completely irreplaceable. You should try it sometime.

this is why i ride street more than i do skateparks. younger kids wont realize it, but its not about hating on skatepark riding, its about the bolded statement. i'd rather cruise through a city i've never been in and see everything than drive around to skateparks, which virtually all start to look the same at some point.

I like the idea of street more than I actually like it.

It gets annoying to only be able to ride one or two things at a time. I like having a skatepark so I can ride a bunch of stuff at once.

Street is nice when you get good spots though.

if you cant drive then street sucks. thats why so many scooter riders dont like "street". most kids who ride are alot younger. street to them is the local 5 stair and the classic 4ft loading dock drop.

thats a good point.. the one thing skateparks have over street is that everything is there at one time

i dont know dude, i think its all about your creativity and desier. i live in sarasota florida and cant drive, everyone where i live says we have the worst street in florida, but honestly ive personally made about 30 spot in the last year and all i ride is the street here now, if you have the skill and the creativity good street is just waiting to be found, but i ride the park at least one day a week but in my opinion, all park feels the same, smooth metal coping, pefrect slants and easy tricks, but is still fun no doubt and is great for getting all your tricks dialed and to learn new ones but yea street is an adventure, a challenge, and is the one place i can relax without any pressure, riding street by myself has to be my favorite feeling in the world without a doubt i dont know if anyone else like solo street riding but for me its so relaxing and comfortable you have all the time in the world to try a trick with no side distractions or talking, its like the spots, the nature, and my scooter all intertwin and work together, and theres no crowd of friends saying lets go here or this is boring blah blah blah, its so peacful and quite you have complete focus and when you see like the weirdest things you can just go directly to them and make your own decisions with no filmer and no pressure and with park i dont even have close to the same feeling, but parks fun as hell to with friends and learning new stuff but yea thats my feel on that, Michael Hohmann

sydney dude, so many younger riders, including myself, are getting to street because spots are so easy to get to.

Sydney be the best. I could be driving now with a license but Sydney's transport system, in my opinon, is legit.

It seems like most major cities excluding Los Angeles have great public transportation.

idk LA's public transportation really isnt that bad. i got to the la steet jam via bus and subway.
I love street riding, especially because i have so many badass spots really close to me. and park riding gets boring to me after a while. its just like the same thing over and over again, and then there's always having to deal with the stupid people there. idk street riding is just a lot funner imo

This this this this THIIIIIS.
It's a cultural thing to me. I don't want to hang out at skateparks all day now. The satisfaction i get from riding around MY city, or another foreign city, filming, fucking around, finding hidden eats, alleyways, shops, or driving around to spots until 2 in the morning with my buddies is on a whole other level. You learn a lot more about life and people, and all round street smarts this way and i think it's pretty important. Of course, not for everyone and some cities you cant do that kind of thing but luckily for me Sydney is fantastic for it.
