What's the Problem?

This is kind of off topic of the rant going on about Lucy and Vertx but aren't the two headtubes interchangable with lucky? If so I want to get my hands on one of these intergraded headtubes!

I was confused because people are saying different things. Also if they have something called an smx and a fork like an lsv3 but called something different and somethings are basically lucky then doesn't that mean vertx is ripping lucky off and stealing designs. Lucky was first. I would like to hear what the owner of vertx says and what lucky says because then it would be clear.

You are retarded. VertX designed and made almost every part Lucky sold. Lucky wasn't "first", Lucky wouldn't be here without VertX. End of story.

Yes they are, and get one! Good price and totally worth it. Karl said that he is just finishing testing the Integrated Head Tubes so they will be up next week.

That's sick dude. It will get there fast, trust me. VertX has the best customer service I've ever encountered.

because we dont need 2 of the same part made by the same people on the market, we need diversity. proto did something different, tsi did something different (with their original decks) phoenix did something different, and vertx is just putting out the same parts with minor differences. if scooter companys are more diverse and think of different ideas, eventually traits from all these ideas will come together one day and we will have the strongest and most comfortable possible designs, the sport is still young. theres no progression in these parts, theres nothing new, its the same stuff under a different name. the minor differences arent enough to make them stand out.

And i have a lucky nork, i personally love it, it has lasted me a while. i never had problems with lucky, so im not going to sit here talking crap. all im saying is that vetx should make other designs and not just use what they have because its cheaper for them right now.

oh you're right, not. do u want to buy smx for $90 plus shipping or $62 including shipping? yeah more diversity so the parts we can get for less goes bye-bye and we're stuck paying an extra 30 something dollars. you're such a genius!

anthony07801 just fail OK. vertx parts are differenlty designed, they designed lucky parts, they are cheaper and the company seems more legit so please stop ranting on before you cause an argument as you didnt look up what you were on about.

glad iv found this thread :), hope fully soon i will be getting one of the I-beam decks, the arX headtube, maybe more :D, but can i suggest something for vertx i know it kinda sounds daft and iv never rode a vertx deck before, would it be any good with a kind of plate on the bottom of the deck? for better balance on grinding? sorry if this has already been said lol

Krtini77,

You are the first to suggest a bottom plate to us. It has been tried before by others. I doubt most would want it because of the additional weight.

What do the rest of you think? Is there a balance problem while grinding on our decks?

I haven't experienced any problems, I can't do downrails, but I have grinded a few ledges on it and its fine.

instead of adding the grinding plate do what other decks have like 2 parts that a thicker and stick out like AOS, the deck will probably be needing modifications on the bottom though if you decide to do it

wouldn't you of thought you would get better balance with 3 rather than 2? and another suggestion for vertx is for the head tube bit that sits onto the deck, instead of just a block that sits into place why not taper the edges on the block and make it the same in the deck bit so it sits into place?
