Wheelbase length

Hi guys

I'm glad to see that wheelbase length is becoming a more common term on the forums.

Ive chatted to brand owners/managers about it, but we are yet to see it proliferate through marketing materials. To be honest, IDGAF about deck length, what makes a deck feel right is the WBL.

So it would be cool if we could all whip out our tape measures and make a database of WBLs here.

MEASURING GUIDLINES - a true WBL would be rear axle centre to projected headset centre in the same plane, but we dont have all decks modelled on solidworks! so i propose we measure axle centre to axle centre (preferably on standard offset forks, mention if you measure with zero offset - and none of this forks backwards crap). But feel free to come up with a better idea.

Please include imperial and metric measurements

I like this thread. i'll add the wheelbase of a v2i once i get my forks.
you should include what the deck length is, to show that some decks with the same lengths can feel longer than a deck with the same length.
and you should add all the wheels bases that people post to your first post.

Some data from past.

20.0" Threshold WB -- 23.5" / 597mm
20.6" Threshold WB -- 24.1" / 612mm
You can basicly calculate the rest (21 and +) by yourself.

Addict Peasley deck (21.25") WB -- 24.4" / 620mm
Other addict decks come in 20.47"/520mm and 20.86"/530mm lenghts, WB can be calculated.

District v2i (DK-2) WB -- 23.8" / 605mm (was measured with FK-2 fork; does not apply to BenJ sig v2i decks... discontinued anyways?)

Cheers Guys

Ive added those ones in madis.

Issac, yeah i will add any that get posted here. Not sure about posting deck length, as that info is readily available elsewhere.

What does everyone else think?

I was just going to make a thread on this actually, I think it's far better to use wheelbase than actual deck length, as deck length doesn't take into account headtube steepness/ length. We also can finally say that a threshold feels like a district even though the deck is an inch shorter, and have facts to prove it.
