go listen to deep purple or led zeppelin and compare them with dragonforce and slayer- they are both metal just different kinds. and sean kane grindcore came from punk metal which came from New Wave of british heavy metal which was before power metal so how is it a big stretch. there would be no metal with out its sub genres.

grindcore is very similar to black/death metal. dragonforce was formed in 1999 by the last members of the band Demoniac which happens to be.....a black metal band.

anyway i didnt prove a point at all but yer metal isnt just the bands you have thrown out, so david dont tell people to get out of the thread just cos they like a different style of metal.

thats the same for almost all music, there is no one band that is a single genre or can classify a single genre besides bands/artists which created that genre.

mm yeah i was just trying to get across to david that bands like iron maiden arent the only metal bands so he shouldnt be telling people to get out if they like a different sort of metal to him i.e punk metal to power metal

dragonforce, black sabbath, black label society, Dio and lamb of god are the only metal i listen to now really. used to listen to a bit of metallica but there fucking shit cunts now

Here's what i have on my comp... U will notice my early metal phase with a lot of power/folk bands, than slowly transforming to doom/thrash/death bands and ending up on NYHC/HC bands.

Manowar and C.O.B. are classics of the so called commercial bands... Everyone started with Manowar, C.O.B., Metallica... then u get on to better, more underground music, some brutal death like Bloodbath.


I recommend each and every one of u to download Bloodbath- Nightmares made Flesh, technically the best death metal album ever.

If allot of u wants it i'll upload to rapidshare.
