I know what you mean Matt..

Oh waittt this is complaining thread right..? Hmm...I hate a lot of the lil kids on SR...There, how was that..?

K, now honestly Potatos, or Idaho guy. You can voice your opinion, and thats cool, but dont think that your gonna all of a sudden take a tricklist rider, and convert him to a Flow rider...it wont happen. Scootering NEEDS both types of riders, hell not jes both types, but all types..I see nothing wrong with Being a trick rider, and being a Flow/Style rider. I can watch em both jes fine. What annoys me, are the new kids...who come on here, watch a video of J mac, or Dono, and jes go out and start trying tricks like that, and come back with there new video, of Sketch, and Bri Flips and Front Scoot Flip attempts..

i'm getting really tired of flyout quad tail fingerwhips, quintuple tails and stuff like that. i just see scootering going to ridiculous flyout videos where kids boost then spin the scooter around. i'm not saying that isn't hard, and props to the guys who can do that, but id really like to see smoother riding and actually flow. i would rather watch a video of someone flowing through a park clearing gaps and hips smoothly just straight airing them than watch a video of a kid doing a briflip barspin quad tail out of a qp. i also would wanna see more stuff get done on rails. iv just been learning BS 270s out ant FS 270s out. im trying to earn them into rail at the moment. theres so much progression left but i dont think people are seeing it because of this techy thing that you gotta do triple whips on flat.

thats my opinion. im not calling anyone out.

The smartest and possibly best thing I have read on here in a while. Totally and 100% agreed.

I think if this was posted by someone older on the scene people would take it seriously.

PS: I agree with the triple flat statement. I don't care if you do them, but im not gonna start.

As much as I am biased to what people like Travis, etc. are saying, I don't think it's possible to just change somebody around like that. Just let people do triples flat, or quad tailwhips to barspins or briflip to triple whips or whatever because those tricks are what shapes themselves as riders. If we all rode in exactly the same way, how boring would it be to keep on watching videos of people doing nothing but turndowns and tables/or quad whips and scooterflips if you look at it the other way around. So all it comes down to is ride for fun and ride how you want to ride, not for some trick "fashion trend" that someone wants you to follow..

You missed my point man, I don't really care how people ride, its not my choice. Heres what I am saying:

If you see a video and its all fly outs of quads etc. would you be impressed? If you were a bystander of the sport would it look professional to you? This all spikes up the touchy issue of this sport and its current potential to be a huge thing in the would of action sports. There are few things holding us back, age of the sport being a big one but not the only one. I am also not saying those people whom do 95% of their stuff flyout are keeping us back either, so just in case anyone was gonna put words in my mouth.

Maybe I am in a negative mind set here but I still agree with the original poster in terms of smooth and flowy (this still appys to the tech guys, you CAN have this in a run) is much better then constant flyouts.

And perhaps im not saying 100% whats on my mind.

yeah I guess I did misunderstand what you were trying to say, but really I couldn't give a dead horses last shit how and where the sport progresses over the next few years.. sure it's good that people are trying to get it to progress and I have the utmost respect for those people (ie. matt dibble (for XW), whoever organized TIC (I think bartnicki?), and andrew for pretty much everything lol.. plus more). As always Travis, you make a very good point, but personally, I think that as long as I have the privilege to be able to go out to the park or on the street and ride just for pure fun, I think that is my main priority. Fuck progression of the sport, fuck competitions, fuck sponsors, as long as I can go out and ride and have fun then fuck it all..

Let scooters go where they go, let people do what they do. And if you think that there need to be more originality then be a pioneer of that.
