Which is better?

is it better to use AJ's tutorial and make your own 1-piece chromoly bars, or buy them online from places like inwards, C4. and french ID, and i can't forget Scooter Resource. help me out here, i need honest opinions.

Pfft. Thanks Aaron.
I honestly prefer to make my own, because a lot of companies make the little tabs the hold the crossbar too small. This makes the weld snap a lot easier.

i say don't try make them unless you know what you're doing

if no, just buy them. I think it's also cheaper that way, rather than buying materials

PROTO tabs are fully wrapped and tigged. No funny business.

thanks guys, well i know AJ's tutorial is legit or else i wouldn't even have considered it, lol, but yeah now im not sure if i can find a welder anywhere around here, and i know i cant weld worth crap, so ill see what i can do, what does anoyone think about the Inward bars?

They're heavy from what I can tell, but strong.
I'd still go with making your own bars.
Almost any auto shop can do it for you, probably $10-15.
Just go in, ask them. and if they say they can:
Tell them to TIG weld it, that the material is 4130 alloy steel, and that it is very important for the smaller bar to be squared and centered with the bigger bar.
 
ok thanks AJ, i was going to have my uncle do it who is a retired welder, but his boss wont let him use the welding equipment, just for like 15-30 minutes, haha.

I rode some kid with inward bars scooter, and they really were not that heavy. Barely heavier then bars like c4 or homemade.
