Just by this post alone, shows how stupid you can be. If you're unhappy with Razor, leave. End of story. If TSI goes under, Ali typically gives each rider ONE chance to go elsewhere if they feel it's a better move. But you can only go back to Razor ONCE if it falls through. So go with TSI, dump off Razor. I don't give a sh!t if it's a "dialed" product or not. You bring shame to the piviledge of sponsorship. This isn't a fu(king charity. On top of which, we could replace you with a rider that actually knows how to appreciate a sponsor that does so much for them. Whether or not you want to accept or agree, when you say yes to a sponsorship offer, that is a verbal agreement to ride and respresent THAT company, not two if you want to "give sh!t a shot."$tan $mirn0ff said:Sr is a bad place to talk on hahhahaha I'm wasted right now and who gives a shiiit bout sponsorship right now? Its just getting started and all the sport needs at this point is vert riderssss its really hard to find vert to ride tho so I'm trying to do my best to get to as many places as possible using all the resources I got to promote? Scootering and show peeps that its possible to do good shiit on a scoot =) but I'm drunk so who knows I could be wrong?
You need to get your sponsorship priorities straight, because just off this thread alone, you have a fu(ked up concept of how sponsorship works.
Here's some of the issue with John. One, we lost Ali to college, he was in UCLA Anderson business school, one of the top five business schools in the world. He walked away from his Razor position behind a desk, but still handled the team on trips. We got a new person behind the desk by the name of Marleen. Problem is, she had issues figuring out what product codes she needed to enter to send whatever product the team was asking for. Then she would try and get sponsorship packages approved by someone that knows NOTHING about who is on the team, if she hasn't heard the name, she would reject it. Then Ali would hear about it from the team rider, and he would have to address it.Chris Gascoigne said:Honestly.. In my opinion. Razor is a shit sponsor. John Radtke has been on almost 2 years now.. He has to go to the store and BUY his scooters. There is never any contact nothing.. That's not a sponsor.. thats a title. And the way razor is heading anyways.. Its a shit title at that. Sure, Razor may pay for travel sometimes.. thats all good, but With recent moves by razor.. i don't see the use.
John called all of once or twice, only spoke to Marleen once. This is if my memory serves me correctly.
And when Marleen wasn't returning the calls to John. Ali told John that if he needed a scooter to let ALI know, not Marleen.
There were a few riders having issues with getting products. John CHOSE to buy his own scooters to not hassle with Ali and Razor. He just gave up on trying to get the product, and since his parents and himself are well off, he has no issues affording scooters. Granted I don't think it is right, which is why whenever I hear him say he needs a deck, I have every intention to supply him with one.
But just because John had a bad experience, doesn't mean EVERYONE did. I'm constantly supplied with products, have a shipment on the way right now. Either way, John buying scooters wasn't 100% Razors fault. I just think the foggy lines of who is and isn't on the team should be brought to light to the fullest. By maybe an updated team roster at all times to whoever is being contacted for product, which is Marleen for now. Ali has been going into Razor at least once a week, so he can still be contacted about scooters if you're having issues.
The rest of your post I agree with completely.
