What are the benifits of having a cut brake on your scooter?

on a pro it stops it from bending but on a blade its just for looks and i guess it saves a little bit of weight

No weight reductions haha and blades are much stronger.

blade brakes have a little wing on the end of them. I cut mine in order to have way more clearance, which I now do. Only the little winged part of the brake was touching my wheel, which was somewhat of a problem.

i think that cut brakes stops it by bending the bolt, put your scooter upsidedown and the brake touches the floor so if you bail it will bend back and snap the bolt, put a scooter upside down with a cut brake its a different story, my brake bolts have lasted 10x as long casue of having a cut brake
