Why do people cut their scooter brake???

apparently if you tap it in fakie you wont fly back, depending on how much its cut. idk.
 
blade brakes have a little wing on the end of them. I cut mine in order to have way more clearance, which I now do. Only the little winged part of the brake was touching my wheel, which was somewhat of a problem.

what is it with all the fuckin weight savings it a scooter its not like they weigh over 20lbs

i think that cut brakes stops it by bending the bolt, put your scooter upsidedown and the brake touches the floor so if you bail it will bend back and snap the bolt, put a scooter upside down with a cut brake its a different story, my brake bolts have lasted 10x as long casue of having a cut brake
