My friend has that movie, and when I saw that part, I laughed so hard, because it's stupid as hell. But what he says afterwards in the interview is some pretty fucked up stuff...

I would not want anything to do with a scene that burned church's and killed Christians if I was a Christian like your self.

Thats just me, I would support anything that involved that stuff, I mean, being against something is fine, but going nazi and killing/arson is wayyy overboard.

i dont believe in any god or anything. but he makes a valid point. i now can see both sides of the spectrum very clearly. but really idealistically there would be no religion, it just divides the world. we should join and be our own god becaiuse we made humanity this way not any higher being or whatever.

I try to stay neutral in most topics but that is the biggest load of B.S. ever dude. Take a religion studies class and you'll realize religion isn't as "man made" as you think it is. It is our natural instinct to seek higher powers when faced with overwhelming tragedy the most key of which is death. There is nothing more overwhelming then the realization that you and every single person in your life WILL die and that leads people to ask "Then what?" and "Why?". Religion was a natural occurance of people working together to seek some kind of universal truth when faced with these kinds of tragedies. No one can possibly be their own god and certainly not as a collective because we all just as clueless as the next person as to what is really going on in our lives and what will happen in an "after-life". Not to mention the obvious fact that no one is perfect so you would be living your life by rules, laws and morals that could easily change on a daily basis which would make life even more pointless for someone in those shoes. Their are unwaivering truths wether it is written in a book or not; people KNOW the difference between right and wrong. Just because you worship "satan" does that mean you are going to feel any less terrible about yourself if you go and kill some innocent person for the hell of it?; which is exactly the kind of freedom those nutcases preach. I don't understand how you can clearly understand both sides of the spectrum when one of them is clearly flawed. Satanism CAN'T work because human nature would never allow it except in the cases of humans with some severe mental health issues who are completely INSANE. Instead of bashing religion you should take some time to learn and understand it a little better because you are going to faced with the same questions sooner or later in your own life.

The way I see it is having faith in a higher power is Death Insurance. I rather go somewhere good when I die than somehwere bad and if all these atheists are right and there is no after life then it won't effect me anyways so I have nothing to lose BUT if those atheists are wrong they are going to wish they had gotten some Death Insurance.

I am not atheist but agnostic. I think there is a higher power but it may not be the god all christians know. I questian everything and take no sides, religion has flaws, science has flaws, humans have flaws... I choose to accept a lot of different religions and live my life the way most religions would want. Peaceful, loving...you know "what Jesus would do" type of thing. So even though I may not belive in this said God, can I really go to hell while I lived my life in they way this said God would want?

Although my idea of who Jesus really was is far from what christians think. I belive he was a great motovatinal speaker, with a great message... I don't belive most things said in the new testement about Jesus being God-like when the old test. portrays him more of a mortal.

Uh oh... Religion Thread #2?

all im saying is that in a satanists point of view they dont see themselves as evil but the church is evil. And if we have god in us we could very well naturally have satan within us also. (im just using satan and god as a universal symbol of good and evil). its just a thought . i as well can except many different thoughts on this so dont think im trying to take any side on this.

Jesus was real, they have proven that.

Back to the music side of this, do you think its something that would threaten a lot of people if it ever became so popular and wide spread then it was more of a cult then a genre of music?
