are briflips hated on so much?
i think they look good

Because every rider strives to do them so much, or works on them so hard, thinking that there is some initiation that you pass when you do one, or that you are considered "pro" after you land one. In reality they are not that hard, however i am not saying i can do them. They look pretty good flat and that's about it.

They're easy but they look hard to people who can't do them. I can do front and normal every try and I'm not that good.

I think 360 bri's look very sick, especially when whips are added in, otherwise I really only bri or umbrella so I can look cool or fancy to people/ shut up haters/etc

I enjoy bars, tucks, and turndowns a lot more

I'll quote my response to this same question in the trick tip thread:

they were interesting when people first started learning them because it was a new trick people could add to their bag and combo real well.

Now new riders think they look real cool and learn them before any other basics so you get these little groms that can do an infinite number of briflip combos but can't barely do any other trick. I've seen videos where the kid does a briflip late whip air and a flat doublewhip in the same video. Every single rider nowadays whores them, and not only do they just get played out, but front bris are quite possibly the most disgusting trick in the sport and a disgrace to front scooterflips which actually look good.

One last note is that people now are getting to the point where the only new tricks being done are new briflip combos rather than you know.. ACTUALLY coming up with a new trick. I try my best never to do briflips becuase I know I personally am not impressed in the least by them and I'd rather make my riding look good than show the world another buttercup. If I can help rid the world of briflips by keeping how-to videos or trick tips about them to a minimum, I will definitely do just that.

AND I'd like to point out the difference between scooterflips and briflips..

Inward means "front" most people associate it with a front scooterflip too but technically it just means front
Scooterflip is where you take a hand off
briflip is when you xup or whatever you wanna call the movement

get it right, I get so many comments on youtube front scooterflip how-to that it's actually called a briflip.. like wtf

i about died.... "why do one of you always manage to have your shirt off? fags? maybe"

"yea, we are lovers but I was trying to keep it quiet. It certainly has nothing to do with getting hot while I ride. Fucking idiot."

also I think that the ENTIRE, inward term should be destroyed and never heard of again, it's to confusing. It just doesn't make sense as you can look at it different ways, because it flips out, but I guess you have to pull it in in the beginning. Though it may not be wrong because of how accepted it is, front and back makes way more sense.

I'm all for front and back, I don't know why anyone EVER thought of inward and outward.. I'm pretty sure Josh Toy was trying to push a movement where we started referring to them as inward and outward impossibles either fs or bs
