Will oven cleaner not harm the PU or glue?

I'm going to raw the cores, but if i tape the pu there is a thin rim of colored core that is covered with tape. What if don't tape and just spray it over the wheel, will it be fine?

i would be safe and tape the rim. after you use the oven cleaner you can just sand it anyway.

too late, i've done it already, and everything but anodizing seems to be ok

oven cleaners are made for ovens, ovens have rubber in them, they on't damage the oven rubber, so its fine
